Work Life Balance
Does this balance even exist,
Can one really balance what’s on the list,
Most times I feel like the system is on a feast,
Making sure I am only work – here life must exit.
I try to slow down, but the deadlines persist,
Every dream I shelve becomes another twist,
The weight of expectations tightens its fist,
And rest feels like a luxury I somehow missed.
Yet deep inside, I know there’s more than this mist,
A quiet voice urging me to resist,
To reclaim the moments the grind dismissed,
And honour the parts of me long dismissed.
So, I’ll rewrite the rules the world once fixed,
Blend purpose with rest so neither is eclipsed,
Let passion and peace finally coexist,
And craft a life where balance is truly kissed.
